Welcome to the DOH! Network — The Official Website of Johnny Leche.

Ok, SQL issue resolved. To fix it, I renamed '/var/lib/mysql/ib_logfile0' to '/var/lib/mysql/ib_logfile020230520'. I probably could have deleted it but after I deleted some files and ended up needing them when fixing the secure certificates last month, I thought better to keep it. Then I created a new ib_logfile0 file (touch /var/lib/mysql/ib_logfile0) and made mysql the owner:group (chown mysql:mysql /var/lib/mysql/ib_logfile0). Restart the server and Johnny Dressup is working again.

Some other useful info is as the root user, edit /etc/my.cnf adding innodb_force_recovery=6 to [mysqld]. [mysqld] was not actually in my.cnf so I had to add that as well. Restart the SQL server and you should be able to commect to the server to view the databases and tables but the webpage was not loading it.

DOH! Was thinking I should mess around with MySQL more so I can troubleshoot stuff at work. Can't log in to the DOH! Network SQL server and broke it while trying to figure out what's wrong with it. The only thing using it at the moment is Johnny Dressup so that's lucky.

I jumped into a game of Overwatch 2 the other day and was getting destroyed pretty bad. After not playing for a while, I realized I am not use to the rebalancing that has been done to the heroes. Every time a new character is added, the other heroes have to have their skills adjusted to make a level playing field where every hero has a counter hero. I really wish they had kept the original Overwatch running and just locked it with the last hero they added before the launch of Overwatch 2. I would have been fine with the limited heroes that never change. I was thinking I should build a new pc and get a new monitor for when Overwatch 2 comes out but now I don't enjoy playing it so I don't see a point in upgrading. I don't like the Battle Royale games that are all the rage now and Team Fortress 2 is a mess with all the user created content. I find myself watching a lot more tv now.

One thing they did break that is cool with me is the endorsement system. I achieved the highest level before the switch to Overwatch 2 and it hasn't gone down even though I don't play regularly.
