Ahhh! I finally got the stupid Mailman program working on my server again for the couple of mailing lists I run. Not to say the Mailman program is stupid but the install was getting pretty frustrating and it turns out in the end that it was user error all along. I thought I could create a new user and it would just work but there are a couple of more steps to creating that user that I overlooked. Read the freaking manual, Leche!

Seriously, the Mailman program for doing mailing lists is pretty slick. So are the Gallery program for doing photo galleries and BBClone for tracking site traffic and they are completely free. I wish I had the skillz to write a program that somebody found useful.

Hey! Congratulations to Deathcon LAN regular Sabre on his recent marriage. We shoulda had a bachelor LAN but everybody's been hella-busy lately. Maybe in a month or two.

Congrats also to Grapple on his pending relocation to Denver. I heard it's really nice there.

I just ordered a copy of Unreal Tournament 2004 for $9.97. It should arrive before the end of the week so the DOH! Network UT2004 demo server will be upgraded to a the full version probably in a week. If you haven't checked it out, download the Unreal Tournament 2004 demo from 3D Gamers and jump onto the DOH! Network server. People will usually start joining when they see somebody in the server. You can see if anybody is currently playing if you check out the DOH! Network server stats page.

That Comp USA deal last week for Half-Life 2 for $19.99 was over pretty quick. All stores within 50 miles of me were sold out the same day. They have Half-Life 2 back at $54.99 so if you weren't one of the lucky ones to score a copy the cheapest you can find it for online is about 35 bucks.

You can now download the F.E.A.R. single player demo from File Planet. It looks like it's using the Doom 3 engine in the screenshots. Lots of gore and junk going on. Hopefully the developer will release a multiplayer demo so we can see if it will support more than 4 players online.

Man! Where did July go? And tomorrow is Baby Leche 2's first birthday already. I should probably start my Christmas shopping one of these days. Don't want to be the last to finish my shopping again this year.
