DOH! Bongoboy beat my time on H-3. I thought I was going to have a nice relaxing weekend but it looks like I will be playing Trackmania: Nations the whole time trying to beat 5.70 seconds.
Shweet! I beat that hard bit in FarCry after about 50 tries. The tough part is at the end of the Regulator map where you have to fight your way to the air vent. I was trying to have all the guys come to me and as I was messing around, I figured out you can kill the first guy in the doorway so the door won't close then blow the computer and run back down the hall you came in from. I was gonna lie on the ground and pick the guys off as they came through the doorway but there's some stuff on fire right before the doorway and the bad guys all walked into the fire and died without me having to shoot them. Once all 10 guys were dead I just walked across the open area to the vent and in without any trouble. I never noticed it before but you can use the CryVision nightvision goggles with your binoculars and the goggles won't run out of power. They will even charge up while you're using them. Not sure if this is a glitch in the game or what but it helped to keep an eye on the guys and make sure they were all dead before I came out of hiding. The cut scene after I got to the vent doesn't look promising though. A bunch of freaky looking creatures have broken free and killed a bunch of the bad guys and stolen all their guns. Looks like the fighting is really gonna start to get tough now.
DOH! Stupid FarCry!! I've been stuck on the same section for like a week now. I come into a room and take out two guys then blow the computer and take out four guys outside the room but then reinforcements arrive and kill me every time. I've been trying a bunch of different tactics and the 'wait for them to come to me' one seems to keep me alive the longest but they never enter the room the same way so it's hard to know when to jump down off the console and grab the armor or hang out a little longer in case another guy comes in. If I don't beat this section soon, I'm gonna quit and move on to another game like F.E.A.R. or Call of Duty 2.
Bongoboy managed to beat Baby Leche on her high score and I haven't been able to top that yet but I did mange to score pretty good on two other tracks. Here's the updated track scores with new clickable screencap action where available.

Bongoboy called me out on some high scores on Trackmania Nations. Now we're battling to see who can get the best times on a couple of tracks. In a surprise upset, Baby Leche set the bar for A-3 when I left the room for a minute. Here's the scores so far...
Man! The enthusiasm to work on the computer the last couple of weeks has dropped to like zero. It's taking all I've got just to finish typing this post. I need to write some really cool script or something. Only problem is I can't think up anything cool to write that can be written with my level of javascript skills. A Google maps type thing would be cool but sha! That's some crazy code right there. No way I coulda come up with that.
I think I finally managed to kill the spammer that has been hammering Nopal's website with pr0n traffic. A modified regular expression in the Apache config checks the referring URL against a list of about three hundred words and if it finds a match blocks the person from the site. The script could use some fine tuning but after about seven hours, we haven't seen a single pr0n hit.
