SteamPowered.com has BioShock for $14.99 this weekend! That's half off the price you will find it anywhere else. Nice! They also have the BioShock demo if you want to try it first but don't wait too long. This deal will be gone before you know it.
The full Disney Channel Games website launches tomorrow night and I was stuck at work late last night and then working on it for four hours this morning so all you little kids better enjoy the site!
Thanks to Burning Mass for pointing out this world exclusive preview of Quake Live. The maps look a little shinier but it's pretty much the same Quake 3/Team Arena from nine years ago. The game will feature online stats so you can see how well you rank against other players around the world. Sign up now to get in on the beta at QuakeLive.com.
If hybrid cars get better gas milage in stop and go traffic, wouldn't it make more sense in helping to improve the environment if they didn't drive in the carpool lanes where traffic is moving on the freeway?
GameSpy has an interview with John Carmack and Marty Stratton talking about the upcoming free Quake game, Quake Live. The article has a couple of new images. Not really much to look at as far as eye candy goes. Pretty much looks like the same Quake 3 we saw nine years ago. Still, I'll probably be one of the people playing when they release it to the public in late August. Click here to read the interview.
Been busy at work helping other teams with problems. For my own team, Burning Mass and I have been working on the new Disney Channel Games 2008 site this week. There are some bugs that we have had to send back to the developer to look into but over all it looks like it's going to be a cooler site than last year's site with a lot more video stuff going on.
Have to get dynamic DNS figured out for the ChickP's server. I messed around with some of it the other day and ended up killing BIND on my server. The site ended up being down for a couple of hours before I noticed. Luckily egrep noticed it around the same time and was able to get it working again pretty quick.
And I've got a site update around here somewhere that Nopal has been buggin' me to finish.
