There are a lot of new games coming out that look really good. Battlefield 1 even looks amazing although it's going back to World War 1. My big concern with all these new games will can I run them. I tried the DOOM Multiplayer demo a couple of weeks back but my duel NVIDIA Geforce 460s couldn't handle it. Luckily, the new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10 Series videocards will be available at the end of May with the 1080 version priced around $599 and the 1070 around $379. There are also Founders Editions of the cards with different coolers for $100 and $70 more respectively. These cards are twice as fast and use a third of the power of NVIDIAs $1,000 Titan X cards. Check out Engadget's write up of the new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10 Series videocards for more info. Just tried to but up my old gaming machine for the kids and my now unsupported AMD X850 XT can't handle MineCraft. Plus it is super loud. If I can afford a new videocard int he near future, I have a home for one of my existing 460s. I'll have to see if I can get the old server running and if it is powerful enough to run as a gaming machine for the other card.
