Well, I didn't get a new videocard for Christmas. Did get some new Logitech G430 headphones though and they do a pretty good job of muffling the sound the videocard makes when I start playing a game so that's something.
I didn't get any Steam gift card either but sold a Steam profile wallpaper for like $5.60. Proof that people will buy anything.
New power supply is in the gaming machine with plenty of power to spare. In the process of putting it in, I pulled out the nVidia 460 videocards and cleaned the dust out of the fans. I think the dust may have been suppressing some of the fan noise because now the fans are super loud. Either that of the fans are dying. I might have to upgrade my videocard next.
Finally all back up and running after a power supply failure on the main pc for updating the site. It took a day just to figure out why my headphones weren't working after putting everything back together.
