Ok, there are nine weeks to a season to earn an Overwatch 2 Battle Pass and you need to get to level 80 to earn the Battle Pass for free. It took me two weeks to get to level 10 because I have a full time job and other things that need my attention like family so Blizzard hates the working man or woman. There is no way I will be able to keep up with earning Battle Passes and I don't have money to be buying skins. Add to that the joy that being a support character brings where everybody is running off into enemy territory leaving me as a target. At least I can earn the 'Any Role in Role Queue' achievement and still play Support and it usually gets me into games quicker since nobody wants to play that role. One good thing is the game play is so much faster now, I can't even take time to appreciate the skins other players are wearing anyway.
I have been getting a little Minecraft in but I have to say, I am not a fan of the Cliffs and Caves update. The cave systems are huge now and exploring them gives me anxiety from being in a huge dark cavern with the possibility of falling from great heights. Plus resources are a lot harder to find. I have taken to always using stone pick axes because iron is in such limited supply.
Did some code I was kinda proud of at work that last couple of weeks even though it isn't some hard core fancy stuff. Just form validation. Something I don't really do much of on the DOH! Network but it inspired me to look into working on the website since I saw how much of a mess the code is when I was fixing the vanity domain. Was thinking I'd rewrite it in React/Ant Design. Got them both up and running pretty quickly. Added the Ant Design Layout component. Looks good. Tried to change the Logo icon to be text and it breaks the header nav. This is why I haven't rewritten the page sooner. Every time I try, something breaks or doesn't work as expected, it is not a simple fix, and I lose interest. Why does code have to be a jerk?
