I finally got my config working for Half-Life 2. I found the 'JOYSTICK AND GAMEPAD CONFIGURATION' page on steampowered.com but when i tried to use the variables there, I got a bunch of errors in HL2. Turns out all those commands have to have an underscore after 'joy' with the exception of 'joyadvanceupdate'. I'm using the Logitech Wingman one with 'joy_advaxisu' commented out because it caused my player to turn in a circle with no way to stop him. You can download my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro config from here. Save it in your 'C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\<user name>\half-life 2 deathmatch\hl2mp\cfg' folder* and if you already have joystick enabled, when you start HL2 it should be executed automatically.

* Actual folder location may vary.

Played a little Half-Life 2 against egrep and a couple of other players last night. Haven't quite got my config worked out. One guy was the crowbar equivalent of Crazy Knife Guy and it kept messing me up jumping from gun battles to crowbar fights and I'd ended up getting killed while trying to switch to the crowbar. Pretty funny game but I don't think the graphics are all that spectacular. Maybe it's just my setup though. If I go to a LAN any time soon, I'm sure I'll see it all dialed in and it will look way better than what mine looks like.

Splash Damage released the 2.60 update for Enemy Territory a couple of days ago. Reading the forums, I've seen a lot of complaints so I think I will hold off on updating the DOH! Network and Deathcon servers for a bit. The update didn't have any new maps which is kind of a bummer but what can ya do?

On a side note, when the DOH! Network and Deathcon Half-Life2 servers are running, you pretty much have to kill all other games because HL2 uses so much of the system resources.

Shweet! Got out of jury duty yesterday. Almost got picked for a gang on gang double murder.

Doh! Super busy at work lately and end up working over time. i get paid for it but then that's less personal time for me when I could be updating the movie trailers page.
