Strange things are afoot at the DOH! Network with the online status indicator and the Game Stats pages not loading because of javascript error. It looks like the APIs aren't returning as fast as expected and the code is moving to the next step before a value is populated. Time to redo the page completely? I hope not because there is a lot of code doing in there. It doesn't help that the page keeps failing to load on refresh either.

UPDATE: OK. The issue was when I have only played one game recently. Instead of always returning an array, the Steam API returns an object when only one game has been played recently and an array when more than one has been played. Overwatch is not an official Steam game and Gears 5 was the only Steam game I have played in the last week, it was the only one returned. The javascript has been updated to check for an object or array now so both conditions should work going forward.

I'll probably forget this the next time I am playing a game so better put it on the blog so I can find it later. When playing Overwatch, I frantically press buttons and some times minimize the game and dying in the game in the process because I stop moving. Finally looked up on the Logitech site that to enable 'Game Mode' on a G513, you have to press the 'Function' key and 'F8'. I remember my old Logitech keyboard had a slider button to toggle 'Game Mode' on and off. Guess that was too easy so the newer keyboards have a key combo that I will forget.

Nice! I figured out why the DOH! Network wasn't showing up at the external IP. Turning on the Default DMZ Server pointing to the internal server IP isn't enough on the Netgear Orbi. You also need to go into 'Advanced' > 'Advanced Setup' > 'Port Forwarding / Port Triggering' and forward the 'HTTP' service. I didn't need to do this on the previous Netgear router. I also threw in 'FTP' and 'Telnet' forwarding while I was there but 'HTTP' was neough to get the server broadcasting to the Internet.

Hopefully 2021 is at least a little better than 2020. I am coming up on level 600 in Overwatch which should give me the silver border around my player icon. Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing. It seems like my games have been having more and more silver and gold frames in them. I thought that was tied to how well people played in competative but I read recently that it is when you reach 600 becuase the icon can only put so many stars under your icon before it has to change something else. I'm at level 560 nowe so it may take a couple of months to actually get there with how often I have time to play.

I'm also coming up on level 50 on Steam. Once I hit level 50, I should get a booster pack drop every time somebody crafts a badge in a game I own and have the badge for. I'm currently at level 49 which puts me in the 80% chance of getting a drop bracket but usually I wait till the game comes down in price so there aren't many people crafting badges anymore so I rarely see any card drops but once I reach level 50, I may splurge and pick up a couple of games on release like Gotham Knights or Back 4 Blood.

Happy New Year from everybody here at the DOH! Network!

Not sure if it's something with the new router or I missed an ip somewhere on the DOH! Network server but my dynamic ip changed recently again and I tried to redirect to the new ip but somewhere along the way, something stopped working. The site isn't viewable to the outside world but it worked internally which was nice.
