Oooooh. Tron Lightcycles multiplayer demo. Too bad they don't have a Linux port because this would be cool online. Maybe at the next LAN we can get a game on.

The Soldier of Fortune 2 server is finally up and running over on DSL Extreme. The same config you love on Deathcon and the Bizarre is now on a big pipe with tons of bandwidth. Now you can play against twice as many people in a 20 man free for all. Check out the DOH! Network servers page or the DSL Extreme servers page to see who's on.
The DSL Extreme Enemy Territory has been updated to the same config as the Deathcon and Bizarre servers. Only problem is now it's so popular I can't get in. DOH!. The guy at DSL Extreme that has been cool enough to set up these servers for us is working on the Soldier of Fortune II server and should have that up shortly. I won't say who it is because I don't want him to get spammed with a million requests for new game servers but I will say we are working on getting an OSP Quake 3 server up and running too.
A new trailer for S.W.A.T. is available online. This one is a lot better than the previous trailer and shows off what the storyline is about. But it still has the stupid ending where L.L. Cool J gets up and dances and sings the S.W.A.T. theme song.
There's also another comic-to-movie on the way in the form of The Punisher. Haven't been hearing much about this but what little I have hasn't sounded too promising.
Got to give a shout out to ma peeps at DSL Extreme, the official ISP of the DOH! Network. I'd give a shout to the one guy in particular that made it all possible but I don't want him to get slammed with 50,000 e-mails asking for new servers. Anyway, I got talking to this cool guy at DSL Extreme and he's set up an Enemy Territory server and a Soldier of Fortune 2 servers is on the way. He's just waiting for a config from me. Woot! That same config you loved on the Bizarre and Deathcon is coming to a big fat pipe near you! We're talkin' 20 player action boyeeeee! Stay tuned to the DSL Extreme server page (qStat page for the Q3plug impaired) for more news!
Today would be a good day to download Enemy Territory, the free stand-alone multi-player first person shooter game from Splash Damage powered by id Software's Quake 3 engine. Check out the screenshots over on the 3D Gamers site and then download wolfet.exe from the downloads page. This is the only file you need to play and it's free! Once you have it installed, check the qStats page to see who's playing.
Go Ducks go! The Mighty Ducks managed to pull a win out tonight and take the Stanley Cup Finals to game 7. Only problem is it's going to be in New Jersey and they haven't won a game there in a long time. Let's hope they can pull it off.
The X Games Global took place in Texas last month. Jamie Bestwick turned up the heat with a big Tailwhip Flair in the bike ramp stunts competition. Check out the video on EXPN.com. If you don't have Windows Media Player to view that clip, check out a couple of pics here and here.
Check out Matt Hoffman's No-handed 900 from last year's X Games finals courtesy of EXPN.com.
The next big thing from Pixar Animation Studios will be The Incredibles. Check out the trailer on the official site.
NOPAL sent me this link today of the funny Matrix spoof, Computer Boy.
Good day, eh. Fans of SCTV's Bob & Doug McKenzie need to check out the next animated feature from Walt Disney Pictures. Brother Bear is the story of an eskimo who gets turned into a bear and blah, blah blah. The thing that makes this movie one to see is the fact that Dave Thomas and Rick Moranis reprise their characters from SCTV and Strange Brew in the form of two moose. Check out the trailer on the official site and make sure you watch till the end of the trailer, eh.
Download the mp3 'Take Off' featuring Bob and Doug and Geddy Lee of Rush. It's a beauty, eh.
Raiders of the Lost Ark remade shot for shot by 12 year old kids? It could happen. (Shack News)
Check out a 6 minute preview of '28 Days Later'. It's kinda Omega Man/Night of the Comet only hella scary.
Checked out Colin McRae Rally 3.0 Demo. Good looking racer but I don't think I'd be buying it any time soon. If you're into rally style racing you'll get a kick out of this game but I felt the tracks were too tight and you couldn't really do much. Now I know this is rally racing and that's how the tracks are in real life, but every now and then I like to go off the normal path and just go nuts. It keeps the game from getting old quick. The cars in the demo are really loose and floaty at times to the point of not feeling realistic but then if you get a little squirrely going into a corner too fast, the car just bumps stationary objects. I was expecting a little more violent crash but I couldn't even roll my car. This is only the demo though so things could change before the final release but I won't be picking this one up. If you are into rally racing, I say definitely check out the demo before you buy because that's what it's there for but if you're more into Nascar or Need For Speed style racers, I don't think this game is for you.
