The live action Thunderbirds movie hits theaters today and it will be interesting to see if it can break the top 20 at the box office. Reviews aren't as bad as Catwoman at least but still, it looks like it's gonna blow big time. That being said, the thought of a Thunderbird movie got the gears spinning in the heads of Matt Stone and Trey Parker, the creators of South Park, and it looks like they have created the must see movie of the year. You ever have one of those days where nothing worked right? I had one of those days where javascript and html would just not work for me. This is code I've done a bunch of times before but today it just would not cooperate. I managed to get it all working in the end but it ended up causing me to stay late and now that I look at it from home, I've spotted another issue that could be a problem. DOH! Damn the HTML!!

Woohoo! I finally got rid of that frikkin winpup adware crap on my computer at work.The damn thing was on there since like the middle of June. I was able to track it down with the help of Bazooka by Kephyr. It's a free download and a lot more thorough than Ad-Aware. Ad-Aware is good for your first line of defense but Bazooka is good for that deep cleaning that you need sometimes to get rid of adware programs that pop up stupid ads for junk when you are trying to use your computer. Unlike Ad-Aware's auto removal of adware programs, Bazooka requires you go in and do the removing yourself though which can be traumatic for the faint of heart. My secret for deleting winpup you ask? In step #4 of Bazooka's winpup removal instructions, I deleted all of the values in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run that pointed to files in my C:/WINNT/system32 folder and the files that they were pointing to.

Been thinking of adding next/previous buttons for the old news for a couple of months now and finally got around to doing it. Turns out I was real close to finishing the code when I originally thought about it. Took like ten minutes to actually put the links on the page and do a little fine tuning. Now I have to get in the mood to make all the old news compatible with the new format. DOH!
UPDATE: I found a bug with the blog code for the previous/next links when I tried to add the 2003 news pages. Got that all figured out now so shweet! I think I want to do one more thing and that's add a current link in the middle that will take you to the current month.
A big congratulations is in order for my buddy Marcus and his buddy Patrick for winning the Project Greenlight Screenplay Contest. They beat out like a trillion other entrants and now their movie is going to be made. We'll be able to follow their progress on Bravo this year rather than HBO which is good because I don't have HBO.
