DOH! Network

Vadim has finally revealed the final cast member in Yeah! The Movie. You can check out a test animation of the hero on the official site.

Ugh! Spent the day putting in a whole house fan. It took so long just to get the fan up that I just hot wired it so I could use it to cool the house and figure I'll put in a switch next weekend.

The Linux server for Doom 3 isn't out yet but I added the Planet Doom server to the DOH! Network qStats page.

I will be calling DSL Extreme tomorrow about switching to a new RT so if the site goes down, you'll know why. I will have a temporary site up that should have news and maybe trailers but most of the other stuff will be down until the service is restored. It should be hopefully less than two weeks but when the site comes back up, it will hopefully load a lot faster.

Man! What is it about the end of July and all of August that makes me not want to update the website? I remember last year I didn't post much around this time and the year before I even took the summer off and didn't even try to update. Hopefully things will turn around in September. I suppose hanging out with Baby Leche II has something to do with my lack of computer time lately too.

The DOH! Network was down for a couple of hours today. Not my fault or the server's. The phone line was out for a bit for some reason. I was hoping maybe it was SBC switching me to a closer remote terminal so my connection would be faster but no luck there. The phone line was up again by the time I got home and it doesn't look like I missed any important mail so no worries.

I've seen and been figuring out some pretty cool javascript tricks at work but I have no idea what I would use them for on my own website. There is one but my custom 404 page isn't working. DOH!

Congratulations are in order for the NOPALs. Their daughter was born last week. You can check out the official NOPAL web site for some screenshots and specs.

Finally 'Alien vs. Predator' hits theaters today. Word on the street though is that it sucks ass. I read some reviews with spoilers and was like 'Oh no they didn't!!!'

I saw 'The Village' the other day and that was a big let down too. M. Night Shyamalan could have had a good movie if he would stop doing these stupid twist endings. The film looks great and the acting is strong (except for Bryce Dalls Howard as the worst blind person ever) but the ending was a major let down.

Some parts of the DOH! Network site may be down over the next couple of weeks as I am going to switch my connection to a closer one. The backup server will be up during that time so you can still get your Leche news and movie trailers but other parts may results in missing pages. In the end, hopefully the site will load a little faster. I'll let you know more when the switchover is closer.

DOH! More proof that I'm getting old. While all my buddies are playing Doom³, I just have to give a shout out to this kick ass paint scraper I bought yesterday. This bad boy has all kinds of curves and edges to get into those tight spots and rip that old flaky paint right off any surface. Oooooo, look at the scraper of death with it's 2½ high carbon steel blade and that razor sharp point for really takin' it down to the wood. I can't wait to try this puppy out tomorrow on some grout I have to remove in the shower.

Baby Leche 2.0 made her first ever public appearance today at the local hospital. Her performance is scheduled to run today through Tuesday before returning home for some much needed rest. If you are planning to catch one of her shows, here's some information you may need.
